The trailer for the HBO documentary, George Harrison: Living In The Material World, was released today. The documentary, directed by the great Martin Scorsese, has been in the works for nearly a decade.
Soon after Harrison’s death in 2001, several production companies began approaching his wife Olivia about a potential film documenting the late musicians life. Mrs Harrison, in keeping with her late husband’s wishes, initially declined these offers. However, when Scorsese became attached to the project Mrs. Harrison understandably felt that George’s story was in good hands. Judging by this trailer, she made a decision her husband would be proud of.
