Another solid track by Avicii. This time he teamed up with Alesso who is also sick as hell. Stoked to see Avicii when I’m back in Florida in January, he puts on a dope show i hear and all of his songs are just ridiculously catchy with the epic synth lines. Crank up your speakers and throw this on a play list to rage to during new years! Listen to the track below, download it here.

Never heard of this dude until today thanks to my boy Tom (ew), really diggin his sound and visuals for this music video though. Some Gorrilaz/ Daft Punk type visuals with the dope cartoons in space doing odd yet cool things. CHLLNGR‘s laid back dub/reggae feel is great music to wake up to and start your day with, all good vibes. Anyways, peep CHLLNGR’s music video for “Change” below;

The Flaming Lips recently hit the studio to record and tape their very own version of “I Am The Walrus” by The Beatles. Compared to their recent releases, this video is up to par on the weirdness scale for these guys. Looking back, they have released albums inside of gummy bears, and six-hour songs. If you would guess that drugs aren’t one of their influences as a band, there is a very good chance you would be wrong. Check out the video of the cover below.

Even though this track uses the same instrumental as Mobb Deep used on “Hell on Earth,” I prefer this version. Good looks to my brother Bob for showing me the new version of the track. The voice and lyrics of Progidy fit the instrumental perfectly. Flocka kills the chorus and his verses with raw lyrics, and French also murks the beat (as usual). Overall, it’s a mad chill song that I can’t stop bumping lately. Listen to “We Mobb” by French Montana & Waka Flocka feat. Prodigy below, download here. It is definitely some #GMM.

To stay in the Christmas spirit, Rusko has gone along with the theme of giving and gave fans the Rusko Remix Collection 2006-2010 for absolutely free download. The collection is made up of all official and released remixes, along with some original un-mastered raw mixes. Shits mad legit, so download the free album here, at Rusko’s website.

Merry Christmas! Hopefully you have the opportunity to check out this new mixtape in the midst of eating and spending time with family.  This is the 3rd installment to the “There Is No Competition” mixtape series, hosted by DJ Drama.  After releasing the “Soul Tape” earlier this year, Funeral Fab has returned to his trademark style of raw punchlines over hard-hitting beats.  Features on this tape include prolific New York artists such as Red Cafe, Jadakiss, Lloyd Banks, and Styles P, but also Meek Mill and Trey Songz.  It was just released today and already has over 100,000 downloads on DatPiff!

Judging from the reports, there is a good chance that Tyler, The Creator is not having a very happy holiday. Thursday night, Tyler caused a ruckus at L.A.’s Roxy during the Odd Future show. He allegedly managed to destroy some of the club’s property and kick a sound guy. According to sources, Tyler was arrested outside the Roxy after the club management called the police. Fortunately, one of the concert-goers was prepared to videotape a small portion of the antics. Check it out below.

In the spirit of the holidays, Smoke DZA decided to surprise his fans with a gift that will keep on giving entitled SweetBabyKushedGod. The tape is filled with relaxing beats including one produced by Flying Lotus titled “Dear Winter”, which is the tape’s closing song. Be sure to preview the tape with a few of the tracks below. Happy holidays!

This was originally dropped last week with 2. Chainz and Weezy on the verses with David Banner but today he released a second version of the track but with Wayne’s verse cut, replaced by the up and comer A$AP Rocky. “Yao Ming” has a classic David Banner beat that knocks, an is overall solid song lyrically as well. I wonder how Lil Wayne felt about being replaced? Anyways, i like both versions of the track so listen to both below and choose which one You think is better:
