Kendrick Lamar dropped off the second single from his debut album earlier today. “Swimming Pools (Drank)” is produced by T-Minus, and the futuristic spacey instrumental is raw as hell and fits perfectly with Kendrick’s intense lyricism about the hardships of alcoholism. This single is definitely  not as happy as the last, which was all about smoking buds and chillin with hunnies in the fine L.A. weather- but every once in a while an emotional, deep song is really what hip hop really needs. Good Kid M.A.A.D City is due out October 2nd, check out “Swimming Pools (Drank)” by Kendrick Lamar below;
