A recent post from J. Cole on twitter simply showed album art; a picture of a medicine bottle titled “The Cure”. The equally surprising track was released shortly after. “With my heart on my sleeve, I bleed, pardon my greed I plead insanity, with a side of vanity, how can it be I blew up singlehandedly,” Cole boasts, over an altered sample of The Throne’s “Lift Off” featuring Beyonce. The Roc Nation rapper recently mentioned his negative stance towards music being released so rapidly in the digital age, to the point that you can’t even keep up with it. After more than three months without making a presence online, J. Cole performed a new verse from his upcoming track, “Chaining Day”, along with addressing his web absence. So listen to J. Cole’s newest track “The Cure” below now;
