Kid Cudi “Just What I Am” feat. King Chip

New Cudi is always a great way to start off a Monday, especially when King Chip (Recently known as Chip Tha Ripper) is featured on the track. Side note: I wonder why he changed his name, maybe he took 2 Chainz’ (once Tity Boy) popularity boost in the past year into consideration and then took the hint to change his name. King Chip is so damn underrated and overlooked it pisses me off; his flow is so laid back and smooth, perfect to smoke to, yet still lyrical and he would honestly fit perfectly in on G.O.O.D. Music so why not just sign him? Who knows. Anyways, “Just What I Am” is an amazing feel good track by Cudder and King Chip that was actually produced by Kid Cudi himself. With Cudi singing a relaxing hook about smoking with help from a robotized vocoder on the chorus, flawless verses spit by both the (somewhat) stoner rappers, all floating above the relaxing dream-like instrumental the song is a personal favorite by Kid Cudi. The beat features a trippy yet epic lead synth, droning futuristic sounding instruments and ill hard-hitting drums to top it all off. If this is what all the songs off his upcoming Indicud will sound like than i am stoked as hell. Honestly though, even if the other tracks on the record sound nothing like this i assume the album will still be mad dope. Its good to see Kid Cudi and King Chip still got hella chemistry together on tracks, because “Just What I Am” is seriously fuckin’ awesome. Listen to it below, download the new Cudder and King Chip here.
