Flying Lotus provides us yet with another smooth track off his upcoming album Until The Quiet Comes, which drops October 2. This time his amazingly abstract production skills are complimented by the Queen of Neo-Soul Erykah Badu for the track “See Thru To U”. With their combined efforts, they make for a quite calm yet experimental feel, which is heard as Badu lends her voice over the creatively loose / jazz-felt instrumentation. This song can’t easily be categorized, but one thing is certain it is definitely trippy. With its Jazzy almost old-school feel, along with the momentum of a club beat it’s difficult not to wonder what the rest of the album will be like. I guess it’s the quiet before the storm and we’ll just have to wait and see what other brilliant tracks Fly Lo has in store for us. Check out Flying Lotus feat. Erykah Badu ”See Thru To U” below.
