In the past week Funkmaster Flex had some sick guests, from Compton’s Kendrick Lamar to G.O.O.D. Music’s Common, Pusha T, Big Sean, and CyHi Da Prynce they all were in there spitting insane bars. Up first to flow was Kendrick Lamar, where he maliciously spit over Biggie’s classic instrumental “Who Shot Ya”- while some of his “freestyle” is from a verse he laid down on an older track when he was still known as K.Dot, overall the freestyle is still pretty raw. Next freestyle cypher was the G.O.O.D. Music team, where a handful of the supergroup flowed exquisite bars. While Big Sean and CyHi Da Prynce rapped most of the eleven minute video Common still threw down a fair amount as well over the dope beat selection by Flex (“Who Shot Ya” ”What We Do” & ”Shook Ones (Part II)”). Wish Pusha had spit something as well but eh, you win some you lose some.
