
“One person I was really excited to work with was the Weeknd — he on the album too,” French Montana revealed to “RapFix” host Sway Calloway.
The track is titled “Lifted” and should be released in the coming weeks.
“He wrote the hook, but you know, he take two weeks to write a song so it could be perfect,” the Bad Boy rapper said. “He kinda, like, don’t work with nobody, so I was excited to work with him.”
French also has a few surprising, exciting collaborations he revealed in this MTV interview..
French also has a song with Max B, currently incarcerated sentenced to 75 years on murder and conspiracy charges. ”We used to do so much music. There were these records that I put to the side, that I knew they were gonna be something,” he explained. “I knew this time was gonna come when those records were going to count.”
Lana Del Rey is supposedly going to make the albums final cut as well which should clearly make for an interesting collaboration. After revealing that he was going to be releasing his first single off of Excuse My French to MTV this week with Nicki Minaj, he seems to have had a change of pace.
“The single with Nicki and then I got something with M.I.A., so it’s like I’m picking and choosing,” French said. ”Then I got something with…Lana Del Rey.”
